It was in the 70s that we created our square-toe last — retuning the distinctive round silhouette that has become the DM's signature. These new 2796 Chelsea boots take inspiration from those original archive designs, but are set on a new narrower, sleeker square last to sharpen up this classic silhouette. Welted on an extra rugged 1 3/8 inch Bex sole, they're otherwise the same Chelsea boots we've been turning out for decades: built from tough Smooth leather punched with our iconic yellow welt stitching and tagged with a scripted AirWair heel loop. The 2976 is the rugged Docs take on the classic Chelsea boot. Manufactured since the 70s Hardwearing and famously tough, our Smooth leather can be polished to shine or scuffed-up Elevated edge you can wear every day. The Bex sole is 1 3/8 inch with a rugged commando tread pattern — for traction and a chunky profile without too much height.
